You have Questions about Camera Robots? We have Answers!
Motion control is ideal for commercial, product cinematography, music videos, food shoots, table-top, VFX work and high-speed slow motion video. If you’re aiming for precision, repeatability, and cinematic movement, then look no further! Our motion controlled robot arm is a game-changer for any production.
Our robot arm can move at a straight line top speed of 6 feet per second. Moves like push-ins, pull-out's or moving from a bottom right corner to a top left corner. Combined with our 6 feet of motorized track, our robot can achieve a straight line speed of 12 feet per second. And while our robot isn't considered a high-speed robot, it can still preform very high-speed movements needed for slow motion cinematography.
ARC Motion Control is in a unique position where we are the only ones in Canada that are trained on the software required to operate our brand of robot from Motorized Precision. So while there are lots of great robot operators out there, there isn't anyone else (to our knowledge) who can operate our robot effectively.
We do! We have several camera package options for you if you don't already have a camera for your production. We offer camera packages with a RED V-Raptor, RED Komodo-X, Sony FX3, and Sony FX6. Along with multiple choices of cinema glass to choose from with brands like DZOFilm, Blazar, NiSi, and Thypoc.
The average camera build shouldn't exceed more than 12lbs, but we can push the limits up to 15lbs with reduced speed and complex movements. We've successfully mounted multiple camera builds including RED V-Raptor, RED Komodo-X, Sony FX6 and Sony FX3 all with medium to large lenses options like DZOFilm Vespids and DZOFilm Arles.
Motion Control refers to the use of robotic camera systems to precisely repeat complex camera movements. This technology is widely used in high-end commercial shoots, music videos, and visual effects-heavy productions where repeatable and highly accurate camera moves are essential.
Nope! Our robot arm has a built in focus system that allows the robot to pull perfect focus every time. It's a geared focus motor so it will work with any geared cinema lens or manual photo lens. Auto focus lenses are possible, but aren't recommended as they're not able to keep up with the robots movements or tend to miss their mark.
We are based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and primarily serve the GTA and Southern Ontario. However, due to the unique size of our robot arm, we can travel with the robot on a plane as checked luggage across Canada and nearby U.S. cities like New York and Chicago. Let’s talk about your location and needs!
